A half marathon is 21,097 kilometers long and we offer you 21 reasons to run through the streets of San Sebastian on October 6. Are you coming?

1. It is unique. The organizers think about the athlete. He or she is the protagonist. 

2. It is a one-lap route through the most emblematic places of San Sebastian: City Hall, Kursaal, Miramar Palace, La Concha beach...

3. The start and finish line are located in a spectacular place: the town hall of San Sebastian. And the digital arch at the start and finish will amaze you.

4. The date (October 1st) is perfect if you are preparing the Behobia-San Sebastian or if your goal is to run a marathon in autumn or winter.

5. The distance (half marathon) is unique; the protagonism is absolute for the participants in the half marathon.

6. Registration is limited to 2000 athletes, so you will not feel overwhelmed at any time.  

7. You will receive a T-shirt valued at 31 euros just for registering, with the design made by an artist from San Sebastian and the brand Dare2B. 

8. If you reach the finish line, we will give you a finisher medal to keep a great souvenir of the race. You can ask for it to be personalized by paying an extra.

9. You will have 9 pacers at your disposal at different paces: 1h20, 1h25, 1h30, 1h35, 1h40, 1h45, 1h50, 2h00 and 2h30.

10. The course is homologated (exact distance of 21.097 kilometers), so it will be valid to credit your record in other races (including marathons); it is also included in the official calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and the Basque Athletics Federation. 

11. You have up to 2h30 to finish the race. It is perfect if you want to debut in the distance. In many other races you only have 2 hours...

12. You can ask for your race bib to be sent to your home (until the end of July).

13. You will be able to run with the best Spanish athletes of the moment, who will be present in this race. 

14. Your registration includes an insurance in case something happens to you during the race.

 15. Part of your registration fee will go to a social cause

16. Checkroom and showers. You will have these services included in the price of your registration.

Presented are the Dare2B t-shirts that participants in the San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon on October 6 will receive, with an exclusive design

On October 6, a very special race will be held, the San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon. And the participants, as it could not be otherwise, will receive a top-level t-shirt. It will be from the Dare2B brand, technical sponsor of the test, and the design has been made by the San Sebastian illustrator Junio Arzak, inspired by 'Movement, Sea and Land'.

On this occasion and for the 2024 edition, the t-shirts will have different colors if the women's or men's one is chosen. The women's one will be orange and screen printed in blue, breathable, adapted and with the exclusive design on the back. On the front, the top quality elastic will have the test logo and the date. The men's model, for its part, will be in a soft khaki green color, with blue screen printing and also adapted to the men's body. You can choose the size when registering.

Registering for this race currently costs 29 euros if you have a license and the retail price of this breathable technical t-shirt, ideal for running, is 30 euros. Dare2B is a premium brand. Remember: just by signing up you will receive it. Of course, keep in mind that in both 2022 and 2023 the numbers for the San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon were sold out in advance.

Rural Kutxa becomes the new sponsor of the race and will give it its name: Rural Kutxa San Sebastian Half Marathon.

The San Sebastian Half Marathon has new look and main sponsor. On October 6th, a popular race will take place in the streets of the Basque city and will now be officially called the San Sebastian Rural Kutxa Half Marathon. Save the date! 

The website, more attractive, intuitive and eye-catching thanks to the new look, explains to the runner the different services that will be available if he/she registers for this half marathon, which is approved, flat and perfect for beginners and for those who want to improve their performance. All those who register to run this race on 6 October, where the distance is unique (21.097 kilometres), will receive a Dare2B technical T-shirt, a finisher medal, a gymsack.... There will also be pacemakers at different paces. The route, starting and finishing in front of the San Sebastian City Hall, allows the runner to enjoy the three beaches of San Sebastian, as well as the most emblematic points of the city.

Rural Kutxa, a financial institution that has always been closely linked to sport, has taken over the baton from Zurich, a company that the organisers of the Donostia half marathon would like to thank for its support. Thanks to this agreement between the half marathon of the capital of Gipuzkoa on October 6th and Rural Kutxa, participants will have different advantages that will be announced in the coming weeks.
